Over view :Dakshina Kannada District has been growing exponentially in all fields – be it in Education, Banking, Industries or infrastructure. In the bargain, some people who are unable to compete with the world, are likely to be left out. But just like in the most of the cases, there is a saviour for all – JST a non political, not- for profit and secular social work organisation founded in 1988, has been a response to the needs of the people and achieved tremendous success over the years.
JSTs continuous partnership with the district administration and Zilla Panchayath for the implementation of the national programmes such as Total Literacy Campaign, Total Sanitation Campaign, Employment Guarantee (MGNREGS ) ‘Beti bachavo, Beti padavo’ and “Duddu illade madida dodda kelasagalu” - the work that were carried out without funds and any expectations for water literacy, Koraga tribal development, solar campaign and ‘Apnadesh’-model village development has gained good reputation and recognition for JST.
