Founder Trustees Mr. Sheena Shetty and Mr. Krishna Moolya were awarded Dalapada Ratna from Karnataka Dalapada Authority of Mysore in 2003.
Government of India nominated Mr. Sheena Shetty, Chief Functionary of JST, as Indian delegate to the South Asian Convention on Sanitation (SACOSAN-2) held in Islamabad in 2006.
Department of Rural Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India recognised JST as the Nirmal Gram Puraskar applications verification agency.
The Trust carried out verification work in 250 Grama Panchayaths in Gujarat during 2007.
Council for Advancement of Peoples Action & Rural Technology (CAPART), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India recognised JST as one of the Nodal NGOs to implement the Rural Sanitation Project and create the database of NGOs of Dakshina Kannada District.
Considering JST’s outstanding work for rural development, Government appointed Mr. N. Sheena Shetty, Chief Functionary of the Trust, as Ombudsman for MGNREGS for a period of four years.
